Answer:That is what I use it for. I am at 1700+ ft elevation and pull 27 Hg on my gauge.

Answer:It comes with about 250ml of oil

Answer:Yes, 8 Ounce Vacuum Pump Oil (Qty 2)
4.Question: What kind of oil do you use?
Answer:vaccum pump oil - but be very careful as to not over fill - I haven't put 3 oz in the pump after the first fill. I use it to pull the air from Platnum
silicon mold material. Been using pump for roughly 8 months.
