Appearance: colorless crystal . Melting point: 300~302℃ (enclosed), Sublimation in 165℃ (17mmhg). Melting point: 299~300℃Relative Density: 1.635 (20/4℃). Solubility: soluble in water, slightly soluble in cold water, ether, benzene, soluble in water, soluble in ethanol. The chemical properties of Trans-Butene dioic acid are similar to maleic acid.
Uses
Trans-Butene dioic acid is used in the production of unsaturated polyester resins; Trans-Butene dioic acid and vinyl acetate copolymer is a good adhesive, and its styrene copolymer is a raw material for GRP, Trans-Butene dioic acid's plasticizer can be used to produce vinyl polyacetic acid latex. which is the intermediate of drugs and optical bleaching agents. In the pharmaceutical industry for antidote dimercaptosuccinic acid production, will be Trans-Butene dioic acid with sodium carbonate and that are sodium fumarate ([17013-01-3]), and then replaced with ferrous sulfate by Trans-Butene dioic acid iron, which is a medicine of small red blood cells anemia.
