Introduction:
Our product HPMC is made from highly pure cotton - cellulose by reaction of etherification under alkaline conditions without any organs of animals, fat and other bioactive constituents. It is characterized by water solubility, water retention, nonionic, stability of the PH value, surface activity, temperature reversible gelling properties, thickening property, film formability, lubrication property etc.

Physical properties:
This product is a kind of non - ionic cellulose ether and appears to be white powder, odorless and tasteless. It is soluble in water and most polarity organic solvents and its aqueous solution is surface active, highly transparent and stable in property. The nature of thermal gel is characteristic of HPMC and products with different specifications have different gelling temperatures. The solubility changes with viscosity and when the viscosity is lower the solubility is greater. The solubility of HPMC is not influenced by PH value. Particle size: For 100 mesh , pass rate is more than 99%. Bulk density: 0.25 - 0.70 g/l (usually 0.5 g/l). Proportion: 1.26 - 1.31. Color changing temperature: 190 - 200 ℃. Carbonization temperature: 280 - 300 ℃. Surface tension: 42 - 56 dyn/cm. With the increase on HPMC's methoxyl content, the gel point goes down and solubility in water and the surface tension both go up. HPMC are characterized by thickening, low ash content, excellent film forming and broad enzymes resistance, dispersiveness and adhesion.

Usages:

  1. Enhance the water retention and improve the phenomena of hardening adversity and cracking by the excessive drying of cement and gypsum building materials and insufficient hydration.
  2. Increase the plasticity of mortar, construction operations and work efficiency.
  3. The improving of the plasticity makes mortar better bond the substrate and the bonding materials.
  4. The thickening effect helps prevent the slip behaviour between mortar and the bonding materials during construction.
