Japan credit exchange issued a bankruptcy situation report of the national textile enterprises in Japan in 2012. The report showed that the number of textile enterprises in bankruptcy was about 480, a decrease of 5.7% (29) compared with the previous year, and has been for five consecutive years of negative growth trend, breaking the lowest record of 500 since 2009.

In addition, in 2012 the amount of the liabilities of the national textile enterprises in Japan less than 10,000,000 ten thousand yen ( $ 114,416.4760) to 9,800,200 million yen ($ 112,130.4348), a year-on-year decrease of 38.4% ( 6,119,300 million yen, $ 70,014.8741), breaking a new low level since 1989 of 9,834,500 million yen ($ 112,522.8833)
