Sirane managing director Simon Balderson said this is the company's latest step as it expands its business globally and will strengthen its presence in other countries.

He explained: "The warehouse has sufficient space to several container loads of products shipped from Sirane UK and it will help us provide great service to our South African customers."

The company plans to install manufacturing equipment in the new office in future.

Sirane Southern Africa has dealt with all the region's import regulations and will help make it easier for customers to order its products.

The company specializes in areas including absorbency and ovenable/microwaveable products, compostable packaging, films, boards and pads.

Key international markets for Sirane, which has offices in the UK, Turkey, the Middle East and South Africa, include packaging for fruit and vegetables, meat and seafood.
